Autographed scrubs from General Hospital on display...

Included in the Walt Disney Archives costume exhibit on my recent visit were these hospital scrubs autographed by the cast of ABC's long running and only remaining daytime soap, General Hospital.

General Hospital became the oldest American daytime soap in 2010 when rival As the World Turns came to an end.

These scrubs which are signed by the likes of Rachel Ames, Anthony Geary, John Ingle, Billy Warlock, Jacklyn Zeman, Linda Dano, Leslie Charleson and more cast members, were photographed on display at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California on December 30, 2011.

TV and movie costumes on display from the Walt Disney Archives...

At the very end of 2011, I was fortunate to pop onto the Disney Studio lot in Burbank, California to check out the latest costumes on display from the Walt Disney Archives.

Original TV and movie treasures from the Walt Disney Archives

Included in the exhibit in the lobby of the Frank G. Wells building on December 30, were outfits featured in popular ABC television shows and Disney films.

The reflection of the sun on the cases doesn't always make it possible to get great images of the displays, so you can also check out these costumes and props from Disney's Secretariat on display at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and at ArcLight Sherman Oaks cinema.

Costumes worn by John Malkovich and Diane Lane in Secretariat

I've previously seen some of the other costumes on display at Disney's D23 Expo, but it was nice to get a closer look at them again, plus see some new additions I'd never glimpsed before in person.

Stay tuned in the days to come for more photos of these costumes, including:

Mia Wasikowska's White Knight battle armour from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland
Betty White's Grandma Bunny wedding outfit from You Again
Bootstrap Bill costume worn by Stellan Skarsgard in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Dress worn by Sally Field as Nora Walker in ABC's family drama series Brothers & Sisters
Glenn Close's Cruella de Vil dragon dress costume from the live-action 102 Dalmatians

If you're a die-hard Disney fan you won't want to miss them.
