In My Week with Marilyn, Michelle Williams stars as the titular blonde bombshell during her time filming The Prince and the Showgirl with Sir Laurence Olivier (played by Sir Kenneth Branagh) in England in 1956.

This exhibit of original costumes from the Marilyn Monroe movie was photographed on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on November 13, 2011.

The movie is based on two books written by Colin Clark, who worked as an assistant on the British set of The Prince and the Showgirl and spent time with Marilyn Monroe when her newlywed husband and playwright, Arthur Miller, left the country.

Martin Scorsese's new movie Hugo follows the adventures of an orphan boy, who lives in the walls of a 1930's Paris train station, and a mystery involving his late father and a mechanical automaton.

In addition to these fantastic costumes featured in the movie, they also had this fantastically detailed 'mechanical man' automaton and key props from the film on display in ArcLight Hollywood's cinema foyer on November 13, 2011.

Dick George Creatives, prop makers for the film and TV industry, were responsible for creating this magical automaton, with automata expert, collector and restorer, Michael Start, serving as art department advisor for Hugo.

I have to say, it was pretty cool to see this incredibly intricate prop up close.
